I haven't seen anyone mention this situation specifically altho
it is an IDE drive system. I downloaded the feb28 tar files from
sun-lamp, blew away my existing src tree, extracted the tar files
and rebuilt everything. No errors or even warnings. Good.
Made a new kernel with my usual config file and got the usual wd.c
warnings about incompatible pointers etc. Evidently not a problem
since that stuff has been happening forever and no one complains...
Anyway, shutdown and reboot. What happens is that everything appears
nominal until rc gets to 'Automatic reboot in progress...' at which
point fsck will do the /dev/rwd0a partition and then everything just
stops. I can do a ctrl-c to get the message "reboot interrupted" but
that's it.
I can boot this kernel (and its brothers from sup info thru 3/1)
single user. fsck each partition with no problem and ctrl-d to
multi-user with no apparent problem.
Any clues?
