Yep, this made it work again, thanks. I wonder what sequence of
compiling/linking object files can mess up a shared lib like this.

Btw:  is it just me, or does the system feel somewhat faster with
the latest kernel. I am typing this while rebuilding /usr/src/gnu/usr.bin
with cc -O2 in another xterm, and it seems much faster than it was before
in 8Mb.
