The old (0.9) bootblocks will boot a -current GERERIC kernel (I'm
sure about this one)
Fascinating, the one point that you are *sure* of, I am sure is just
the opposite!
You're both partially right.
* The old boot block can boot new kernels that do not have DDB.
* The old boot block can *not* boot new kernels that do have DDB.
