Sorry, I meant "-o". Peter wrote me a reply that removing this option
fixed his problem as it fixed mine a long time ago.

I don't know why but those **censored** IRC servers don't accept operating
system "OTHER" in an authentication reply which is IMHO a clear violation
of RFC 1413.
