There is a problem with mkstemp().  While it avoids the race condition
(or so it says), it also leaves the temp file around with no way of tracing
it back to unlink it.

I would propose that _gettemp(), if it is called from mkstemp(), unlink()
the file immediately upon a successful open().

If you want to explicitly save the file, open another file explicitly
and copy it before you exit.
