Well, I agree that it _is_ a bug that he has pointed out.  When I got
my first ppro here at work, I found a number of timing bugs that were
caused by "unbounded" delay loops, i.e. those which assumed counting
down from 5000 meant that at least 5000 uSec would expire.

A delay in that loop is appropriate.
