Sounds like the fddi support is a bit lacking.
How are you killing atalkd? It's supposed to clean up it's routes
automatically. Is it dying unexpectedly?
Try route flush atalk, which should zap them all.
What atalkd.conf do you have? You are using the package, aren't you?
