If the support will remain, then its not `deprecated'.
That's what I'd like to happen.

The other question was how the local files got to be `deprecated' in
the first place.  (eg., was the `deprecation' any more than personaal
preference of the rc.conf implementor?)  and, secondarily, if that's
sufficient reason to avoid renaming those individual files....
