Hello,
In the ongoing, "Why does make look for /net/radix.h" saga, the whole
reason this became so noticeable, is my amd mounts have been hanging.
They hang after amd dumps core.. :-(
Here is what gdb tells me:
#0 0x40034001 in pmap_ping ()
#1 0x40038060 in _GLOBAL_OFFSET_TABLE_ ()
#2 0x400341aa in get_nfs_version ()
#3 0x454b in find_nfs_srvr ()
#4 0x90ba in init_mntfs ()
#5 0x9101 in alloc_mntfs ()
#6 0x9301 in find_mntfs ()
#7 0x96d6 in realloc_mntfs ()
#8 0x12b83 in amfs_auto_bgmount ()
#9 0x13cd0 in amfs_auto_lookuppn ()
#10 0x7f8b in nfsproc_lookup_2_svc ()
#11 0x8f96 in nfs_program_2 ()
#12 0x40064b6d in svc_getreqset ()
#13 0x8aa0 in run_rpc ()
#14 0x8ca6 in mount_automounter ()
#15 0x14ae2 in main ()
I am no gdb expert, so if more details can be dug out, let me know what
to type!
I think this could be reproduced easily by others. (happens on my i386
and my alpha under 1.4_ALPHA of today)
Here is my /etc/amd/master:
/home /etc/amd/home
/net /etc/amd/net
Here is my /etc/amd/net
# $NetBSD: net,v 1.2 1997/12/12 11:52:55 hubertf Exp $
#
# /net - NFS-mount directory by cd'ing into it: cd /net/host/filesystem;
# be sure to mkdir /net before using this.
#
/defaults type:=host;rhost:=${key};fs:=${autodir}/${rhost}/root
* host==${key};type:=link;fs:=/ \
host!=${key};opts:=ro,soft,intr,nodev,nosuid,noconn
My trigger mechanism:
# ls /net/radix.h
<hang>
