Kinda unfortuante. The protocol is documented though if anyone wants
to write a more portable client, and there are ports of Modula-3
around although the bootstrapping process is painful.
For anyone interested, the FreeBSD/i386 binaries run just fine on
NetBSD/i386 if you're interested in the FreeBSD tree.
