Now I understand why:

ahc0 at pci2 dev 10 function 0
sd0: Sync (50.0ns offset 15), 8-bit (20.000MB/s) transfers, tagged queueing
sd1: Sync (50.0ns offset 15), 8-bit (20.000MB/s) transfers, tagged queueing

despite

options         AHC_NO_TAGS

in my kernel config. The great news is: tagged queueing now works!
