I have just switched the MIPS ports to the new GCC 2.95.3/Binutils 2.11.2
toolchain.  The next time you update, you should MAKE VERY SURE that you
have installed a new ld.elf_so first, as there was an ABI change in the
new toolchain that ld.elf_so must work around.

Many kudos to Rafal Boni for spearheading the effort to get MIPS to
the new-toolchain.

In any case, you can now use src/build.sh to build the system, and very
easily cross-build the system.

I have tested the new toolchain on an Algorithmics P-5064 (mipsel).  Rafal
has been using the new toolchain on his SGIs (mipseb).
