I gave NEW_BUFQ_STRATEGY a try last week, and noticed that while it does seem to
drastically improve responsiveness when under heavy load, some things (starting
an xterm, in my case) sometimes took close to a full minute to happen. Is this
a known side-effect of NEW_BUFQ_STRATEGY? does this happen on your two machines
with the option?
