It's probably a bug. Do you have a way to go back to an older kernel ?
Maybe by using one from ftp://releng.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/current/ ?
Maybe the bug has been fixed since then, using an older kernel would allow
you to rebuild one from newer sources.
