I'm currently seeing this same discussion -- spam and how to stop it
-- on four other mailing lists.  Do we really have to discuss it here,
too?  (I note that the same suggestions are showing on on all five
lists.  Most of them are the same bad suggstions that solve the wrong
problem, or propose a solution that won't have any effect on spam.)
