I posted a note a few days ago about a completely unofficial .iso that I
made on 21 March. No guarantees, but I'm running three machines with
it:

Subject: "as is" -current .iso (i386) from 21 March available

I took the .iso file I used to upgrade two 1.6.2 machines and put it at
http://www.machshav.com/~smb/current-i386-2004-03-21.iso . It includes
the src and xsrc I used for the build. WARNING: I encountered a very
serious bug doing the upgrade: the machines wouldn't boot afterwards!
It is *necessary* to run installboot after the installation; see install/24914
for details.

This is as is, at your own risk, etc.; this is a completely unofficial
snapshot. It's also ~400 MB...
