hi
I had a problem with opera7. The problem is that at the moment of loading an applet, the browser launch several instances of itself, asking for all the memory available. Even with the limits set, the system becomes unable to create process groups and some utilities doesn't work at all. Even shutdown and reboot commands are useless, and a hard reset is neccesary. My kernel is i386 2.0B.
The most inmediate action for this behaviour is disable applets.
regards
