Hello,
I've just committed a fix for the wm(4) driver (revision 1.74 of
"src/sys/dev/pci/if_wm.c") which fixes the horrible send performance
report in PR kern/23782 for me. So if you are running NetBSD-current
on an Intel i865, i875P or E7210 based motherboard with an onboard
Intel gigabit ethernet controller like this one ...
wm0 at pci2 dev 1 function 0: Intel i82547EI 1000BASE-T Ethernet, rev. 0
wm0: interrupting at ioapic0 pin 18 (irq 10)
wm0: Communication Streaming Architecture
wm0: 65536 word (16 address bits) SPI EEPROM
wm0: Ethernet address xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx
igphy0 at wm0 phy 1: Intel IGP01E1000 Gigabit PHY, rev. 0
... I would like to hear if my change helps send performance on your
system. You'll need of course a gigabit ethernet link because the
problem wouldn't have affected your system otherwise.
Kind regards
