also some older Canon LiDEs, the 20 and 30, have complete support through
the plustek backend, and they are very small.  The newer LiDEs, like the
80 (which is beautiful and I really wanted one) would require the genesys
backend, which seems to be perpetually in development, which is why I changed
my mind and got the Epson (which is not beautiful, but works very well).
