A side note:
X11 is *not* called "Windows" or "Xwindows". Correct names are X, X11 or
"The X-Window System". Windows is a product sold by Microsoft.

It apparently doesn't support configuration that driver. Just pick
any other driver (e.g. "mga") and edit the device section manually
in "XF86Config" afterwards. It will look like this:

Section "Device"
    Identifier  "VIA CLE266"
    Driver      "mga"
    #VideoRam    32768
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate
EndSection

Just change "mga" to "via" and it should work.

The driver is included in NetBSD's XFree86 distribution.
