It works fine for me. All of my NetBSD boxes have hostnames resolving
to their IPv4 and IPv6 addresses and the NFS exports are controlled
via a netgroup.

Are you sure that you don't have a name resolution problem e.g. only
the IPv4 names in "/etc/hosts"?
