I cannot say for sure that this has any bearing on what you're
experiencing, but recently I've noticed my audio skipping again during
periods of heavy I/O.  Initially, when yamt@ committed iplraisespl(),
this stopped completely.   Now it seems to be back again.  I really
have no idea what to do to investigate this.

What brought this to mind is that this always seems to happen when I
am doing large CVS operations, viz. heavy I/O involving network and
disk use.
