getting the kernel from tftp?

Hi,

I'm trying to do the $subject, but I keep getting errors. In the
bootloader, I select 5,
I get the prompt, then I issue "boot tftp:xxx".

I get:
booting tftp0a:xxx
open tftp:xxx: Device not configured
boot: tftp0a:xxx: Device not configured

So here's the questions:
- can anyone point me to a relevant doc about how to do this?
- why is it "tftp0a"?
