I've upgraded to NetBSD 8.99.38 on two laptops with Intel GPU.
On one of the I can observe kind of 'splashes' when typing text or
switching windows.

It's tolerable as there no crashes so far.
The other one starts X, but the environment is not usable. There are
artifacts on the screen showing up and disappearing (with nothing
meaningful). I cannot switch back to tty and WM/DE does not start. I
have just managed to start dwm + terminal, but I couldn't type anything
in it.
Update: after like 10 minutes of doing something/nothng I got a merely
functional dwm.
