static binaries questions I have.

SSH Secure Shell 3.1.0 hppa1.1-hp-hpux11.00 running on HP 9000/809 
 
I could not enable-static in configure to build static binaries.

I issued the configure command with these options. 

configure -enable-static and configure -enable-static=yes
