branches: trunk

description:
Configure always ignores the value specified with "--prefix" and tries to
find out the "real" path. This breaks building of the package (where we rely
on the specified value) if prefix is a symlink or some path component of
prefix is a symlink. Only change the prefix if it starts with a dot.
