Many people use the WIP packages. In this case, this package had been 
around for a few years so the potential for getting two packages installed 
with same filenames was there. Also we have prior art of doing the same 
thing with WIP packages for real pkgsrc.

For what it is worth, I committed this because it hit me. :(
