It's not about updates with changed version numbers.
It's just about updates where the file name stays the same, just the
contents change.
You seem to have (had) the old distfile, so the proper procedure is to
extract from the old and new distfile and compare changes. There
shouldn't be any (sometimes the files are repacked because of time
stamp changes), but if there are, you should investigate and castigate
upstream about it :)
