If this happens again, we should tell upstream that it's not a good
idea to change distfiles. Actually, we should do that even the first
time around.

But you're right -- in those cases, you must choose another new
DIST_SUBDIR value. DIST_SUBDIR usually should also be removed when
updating packages.
