As I said earlier, please either do it properly or not at all.
Don't add such hacks. Proper solutions are:

(1) Patching it to not bother with cat pages at all.
(2) Patching it to honour MANINSTALL.

Generally, the prefered approach is (2), but if you want to do the work,
(1) is fine as well.
