I like this feature, but would much prefer if we specified features in
terms of the positive, rather than the negative: i.e.

        CHECK_OSABI=yes

is much easier for my poor brain to comprehend, especially compared to
IGNORE_OSABI=no.

Also, I didn't see any public discussion about this - it would have been
good to have that, since I think your change would have had a lot of
support.
