I checked the message as it in Gmail (there's an option to show the
original message). Here's a snippet of how it looks to me. (I added
the "}" marks while quoting here. Everything else is as it is in the
original mail).

I think the fact that I have a single period "." on one line is
somehow causing my messages to be truncated. There was a period after
"prune it", which was pushed over to the next line on its own. And
from there the mail was truncated (including the line with the
period).
Is this truncation happening coz of Gmail, or coz of the mailing list
software? I think the reason why Geert got all my mails intact is coz
I tend to cc him too, while the copy that goes to the list gets
truncated -- which is what has me wondering if its a problem with the
mailing list software (coz of Gmail pushing the period to the next
line) ...
Here's another mail that was truncated
(http://mail-index.netbsd.org/pkgsrc-users/2006/05/29/0007.html).
Again, the truncation happened at the end of a line. The period there
was pushed over to the next line all on its own, and from there on the
mail is cut.
Maybe I can resend one of my truncated mails to the list as well as
you (Christian) and we can see if the list software is what is
truncating it?
Thanks for pointing this out. :)
