I just rebuilt it on current/i386 with Using built-in specs. Target: i386--netbsdelf Configured with: /usr/src/tools/gcc/../../gnu/dist/gcc4/configure --enable-long-long --disable-multilib --enable-threads --disable-symvers --build=i386-unknown-netbsdelf3.99.17 --host=i386--netbsdelf --target=i386--netbsdelf Thread model: posix gcc version 4.1.2 20060628 prerelease (NetBSD nb2 20060711) And I can cfs_attach and ls -l /crypt/foo, but every file has the same mode/date/size. Listing any file gets the same dir view. I conjecture that this is a misoptimization bug of some kind (perhaps the source is incorrect). Binaries compiled under netbsd-3 (and thus with Using built-in specs. Configured with: /home/nick/work/netbsd/src/tools/gcc/../../gnu/dist/gcc/configure --enable-long-long --disable-multilib --enable-threads --disable-symvers --build=i386-unknown-netbsdelf2.0. --host=i386--netbsdelf --target=i386--netbsdelf Thread model: posix gcc version 3.3.3 (NetBSD nb3 20040520) ) work fine on the same system. I saw something similar on sparc long ago. Has anyone else seen this? -- Greg Troxel <gdt%ir.bbn.com@localhost>
