glade autoconf

Hi,
   I'm trying to create a slight graphical interface for a program, and
was trying to use devel/glade for that. The program itself works and I've
managed to output some source code but am having trouble building that.
glade spits out a load of autoconf files which you must run to build the
resulting program and I get warnings and errors

First, automake is required here but not installed - should it be part of
the DEPENDS?

from the /usr/pkg/share/aclocal directory to your autoconf macro directory
or directly to your aclocal.m4 file.

these files are not in the /usr/pkg/share/aclocal directory, should they
be? where is my autoconf macro directory anyway?  I managed to find a
bunch of files with those names (under NetBSD/gnu/dist) and added them to
aclocal.m4 but I'm not sure if it made any difference..

and here is the deal breaker; I can't find anything relating to
PKG_CHECK_MODULES in my system. If I dnl out the line, it proceeds and I
can gmake but then I need to specify a whole bunch of CPPFLAGS and LDFLAGS
in order to get anywhere, and I wonder if this line is supposed to handle
that.

Anybody got tips?
