The people who could have helped you (easily) are probably just not
subscribed to this list. Maybe the original developers of the software might
be of help. The issues with gprolog are obviously not specific pkgsrc
but original bugs in the software. The problem with swi-prolog looks
more like a generic libtool or pkgsrc linking issue.

It seems you are. The quantity of users should not be of concern. Otherwise
we might easily get rid of any second thing.

You might also want to ask on forums or mailing lists specific to the software
in question as you'll likely find there more users - even of pkgsrc - which
might be able to help.

I know little about Mac OS but usually I wouldn't expect something like prolog
to be used by a lot of people, so I'm not surprised if you have trouble
finding pkgsrc users of it.
