Re: modular xorg packages?
Hi,
using NetBSD 4.0_BETA2 and NetBSD 4.99.18 (and the same pkgsrc-CURRENT),
all went OK. Here's my notes:
#####################################################################
# Modular X.org on NetBSD
#
# /etc/mk.conf
#
X11_TYPE=modular
PKG_OPTIOS.xorg-server=glx
# packages
#
x11/xf86-video-nv
x11/xf86-video-i810
x11/xf86-input-keyboard
x11/xf86-input-mouse
fonts/font-adobe-75dpi # this one or font-bitstream-75dpi
fonts/font-adobe-100dpi # this one or font-bitstream-100dpi
fonts/font-misc-misc
fonts/font-alias
fonts/font-cursor-misc
x11/xinit
# additional packages
#
x11/xterm
x11/xauth
x11/iceauth
x11/xdpyinfo
graphics/glx-utils/
x11/xset
x11/xrdb
#####################################################################
The server package is modular-xorg-server-1.2.0nb1.
I also compiled "wpi/mesa-dri" on NetBSD 4.0_BETA2 and it went OK (running
a i810). I didn't test server 1.3 from wip (yet).
You may grab my binaries from http://www.tumfatig.net/packw/ if you want
to give a quick try on your hardware. 4.0_BETA2 has only -i810- driver
available and 4.99.18 has only -nv- driver (because those are the hardware
I have on the machine I compiled the packages ;)
The mk.conf is here http://www.tumfatig.net/pack/mk.conf
Regards,
Jo
