   Cool -- That's great!

   I made a rather serious attempt at creating a package myself (from
scratch(!)). I was quite surprised to see how far I got. But eventually
the build did fail.

   Because Pidgin is said to be very different from Gaim, I didn't think
it was worth trying to use Gaim as a template. Next time, I won't trust
my instincts.

   I'm starting to understand some of the inner workings of pkgsrc..
Failing is actually a better lesson than succeeding sometimes. :-)
