I have CD-R, CD-RW and DVD+RW disks, cdrtools works with all of them.
I don't know about DVD+R/DL, DVD-R/DL, DVD-R and DVD-RW disks. Maybe the people
who have those types of disks could tell us if cdrtools works with them.
When I run cdrecord from cdrtools, it outputs the following messages, so I
guess it supports all CD/DVD formats:
Device seems to be: Generic mmc2 DVD-R/DVD-RW/DVD-RAM.
Current: CD-R
Profile: DVD+R/DL
Profile: DVD+R
Profile: DVD+RW
Profile: DVD-R/DL layer jump recording
Profile: DVD-R/DL sequential recording
Profile: DVD-RW sequential recording
Profile: DVD-RW restricted overwrite

Profile: DVD-R sequential recording

Using generic SCSI-3/mmc CD-R/CD-RW driver (mmc_cdr).
