Does this package really need xgettext? i.e. regen .po files?
  Time stamps of .po files seems well.

When I build it on netbsd-3, without gettext installed, it tries to run
xgettext and fails.  So yes, it does need it.  It coudl perhaps be
patched not to need it.


  The makefile of top directory is stupid, why `all' target depends on `check'?

I didn't study the makefile.
