As a workaround, you can specify this in /etc/ssh/sshd_config:

XAuthLocation /usr/pkg/bin/xauth

Perhaps this should be mentioned in MESSAGE ? Granted, there's so much
stuff scrolling by when you install the metapkg it'd be easy to miss...
