tx:evince$ evince
process 3545: D-Bus library appears to be incorrectly set up; failed to
read machine uuid: Failed to open "/var/lib/dbus/machine-id": No such file
or directory
See the manual page for dbus-uuidgen to correct this issue.
D-Bus not compiled with backtrace support so unable to print a backtrace
I had something similar happen with a different package. I started a
'system dbus' daemon via rc.conf:dbus=YES and then all was ok. Much of
the gnome world seems to really require dbus to be running. But, the
pkgsrc way isn't to start it without the user asking for it, and this is
unfriendly, although the other way is unsafe.
