Thunderbird amnesia on NetBSD -current

I hope I'm not the only person seeing this...

For quite some months now, I've found that every time I start Thunderbird 
it seems to forget that I've configured a profile and asked me to create a 
new one again.

Still seeing it today on 4.99.42 amd64, any ideas?
