See my earlier posts on this subject. I did a clean "make install" for all
the packages, and then tried to "make package". But "make package" tried to
do another "make install" and failed because the package was already
installed.
We need to figure out that problem. It works correctly for me. Here is an
example:
Hmmm. I just installed a small package that I'd never really use,
(comms/gkermit) and then did a 'make package' and it worked. I really
don't have a clue as to why it failed on other packages the other day.
This is done by the pango INSTALL script, which, it seems, didn't make
it into the pkg_taruped file.
Should it have been included? If so, is it an error on the part of pkg_tarup
or something wrong in the pango package?
That also works for me.
$ pkg_tarup pango

Did you have an +INSTALL file?
Looks like it:
quicky:paul {158} tar tzvf /build/packages/pango-1.22.2.tgz | grep '+'

Well, since it seems that things are currently working, and I don't
really need to install any more packages at this time (245 installed
package feels like "more than enough"), I think I'm just going to move
on, and accept the fact that sometimes "stuff happens".
