Usually, no need to mind pathnames, just use mkpatches(1) from pkgtools/pkgdiff.
It treats as well automatically.

${WRKSRC} should point to root of the source tree,
because many of pkgsrc's functions (auto replacement, checks and so on)
only affect to in ${WRKSRC}.
