suphp using wrong binary by default?

If I understood it correctly, suPHP wants the CGI binary (in my case 
/usr/pkg/libexec/cgi-bin/php)
and by default from installation it was fed /usr/pkg/bin/php.

To me this looks like someone who needs their sleep just as much as me made a 
fix :D
Am I mistaken or the only one who suffered from this?
