error building gcc44

I assume that what it was supposed to be finding was 
/usr/pkgsrc/lang/gcc44/work.powerpc/gcc-4.4.4/gcc/ginclude/stddef.h, but though 
.../gcc was searched for the header, the subdir .../gcc/ginclude was not.  Is 
this a problem in the package, or is there some pkgsrc magic I need to do here?
