The proxy will resolve too.

% nslookup mmoproxy    

Name:   mmoproxy...
Address: 139.x.x.x
Name:   mmoproxy....
Address: 139.x.x.x

Using one of these 2 IPs directly instead of the hostname will solve the 
problem with 'gem'.
Should I open a PR for that?
