Using scala (2.8.0) + lift (2.1) + jetty, you can achieve 
the same with ANY jre that runs on netbsd/i386 (native or 
linux emu, doesn't really matter). Just run some of the 
Comet demos a couple of times. After a while some of the
threads will just sit there and be parked and not move at
all - even if they basically should ...
