Settings X11_BASE on Linux

Hello

I am having a great type using pkgsr on Linux (Debian) compiling from
figlet to openvpn. However I am stuck when compiling X programs.
When I try to compile a simple xeyes I get

checking for XEYES... configure: error: Package requirements (x11 xt
xext xmu) were not met:

No package 'x11' found
No package 'xt' found
No package 'xext' found
No package 'xmu' found

I have the following environment

bmake show-var VARNAME=X11BASE
/usr/include/X11/
( where I see a bunch of X*.h )

bmake show-var VARNAME=X11_TYPE
native

Am I missing something ?
