On the 5.1 box pkgsrc dates from Feb 11th (this is my production desktop)
I do have a spare box i386 box I could put current on and then try a build of
kde4 - that would help decide if its amd64 specific with the 4.5.3 compiler.
My gut feeling is its a compiler issue as a previous kde build under 4.5.3
blew up earlier, but that part worked OK after the changes to gcc (which fixed
the cups linker issue). I'll report progress tomorrow (its a slooow machine)
